Don and Elise confront their past, with Elise struggling emotionally. Willow and Alex develop a connection, ending up in his tent. The talent show features diverse performances, with Calliope emerging victorious. The night concludes with personal reflections, new relationships, and the lingering promise of a future "murder."

A New Business Adventure

• To earn money at the festival, Calliope and Voltaren decide to set up a booth.
  • Using magic, they create a canopy from a cloak, decorated with moss and flowers.
  • Calliope offers fortune-telling services, while Voltaren provides healing.
• The booth attracts several customers with mixed results.
  • A woman is thrilled when Calliope predicts her partner will propose.
  • Voltaren successfully cures a child's flu-like illness for one gold piece.
  • Calliope comforts the child's mother by relaying a message from her deceased father's spirit.
  • A woman with a blood clot is cured by Voltaren but storms off ungratefully, accusing them of being bad luck.
  • When the rest of the group arrives, Calliope reads Grenda's fortune and tells her that her husband, deceased for over 50 years, is still alive, which deeply upsets her.

The North Milton Biannual Talent & Music Festival

• Calliope, Voltaren, and Osric compete in the annual talent festival, which consists of three rounds.
  • • Instrumental Round: Calliope enchants the crowd with a beautiful harp performance, while Voltaren's lute playing is mediocre and Osric's triangle performance is comically bad.
    • Dance Round: Calliope again captivates the audience with a graceful lyrical dance. Voltaren and Osric also receive positive reactions for their unique dance styles.
    • Song Round: Calliope delivers a moving performance of a lullaby his father used to sing. Osric also impresses the crowd with a traditional song from his homeland.

Calliope wins the competition by a landslide, receiving a large sack of coins and a custom magical instrument.

Post Festival

• After the festival, several characters have significant personal interactions.
  • Don and Nelyse: Don apologizes to Elise for his aggressive behavior. During their conversation, Elise accidentally falls from a tree, breaking her arm. They have a heart-to-heart about her feeling lost, and she agrees to camp with the group instead of isolating herself.
  • Willow and Alex: Willow connects with Alex, the stone Genasi performer. While setting up his tent, he accidentally breaks her nose. She magically heals herself with flowers, amazing him. They spend the night together in his tent.
  • Osric and Lexi: Osric bonds with Lexi, another contestant. He offers her a valuable emerald from his mother as a gift, which she politely declines but is clearly touched by the gesture.

The group ends the session with going to sleep and taking a long rest.... all but Willow.
